✅ SOLVED Is it silver? Weird old locket.

I found this at an old railroad stop. It has makers marks on the back but it doesn't read 925. It seems to be the front of a locket. If anybody could tell me the age or anything that would be great.

Looks like it had a pin back. The hinge is still there but the clasp part is gone.
Also looks like British Silver hall marks.

I concur with "snoopy". I see (from left) a crown(?), an anchor and a letter, not sure which...
