🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Is this a Cannon Ball or Mill Ball?

Hello,

I bought this “believed to be Civil War cannonball” off EBay. I figured there would be a pretty good chance it’d turn out to be one of these mill balls I’ve heard about, but I figured I’d go for it. I also need some Civil War artifacts for my unit on the American Civil War, and worse case scenario, it looks close enough.

I haven’t weighed it myself, but was given 3lb 10oz. The diameter is perfectly 3” around except along a seam where it creeps a bit past 3” in only one small section (I got a measurement on the seam in one of the images). I cleaned it up a bit. There is some pitting.
