A mystery pewter object found in a New England woods. The size and shape of a thimble, but with no opening. One side is marked “JAPAN” the other side has a K emblem in a diamond. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I think it is a "siren whistle" -- the below isn't exact but it is getting close. I've found others by the same company with the K in the Diamond mark.

Bramblefind nailed it. I kept thinking those holes on the bottom looked familiar and it was! I found a Jack Armstrong All American Boy radio serial ring (send in boxtops and get the ring plus a secret code). It has the same pattern. If it cleans up, you can blow into the top (those 6 holes). https://www.ebay.com/itm/175361342547

Looks like a perfect match. Thanks so much! I'm marking this one as solved.
