Sorry, I am not familiar with all the termonolgy used when describing a point. What does "ground" mean?

Ground is where they took a rock and rubbed the base and up the side a ways to dull it for hafting. If kept sharp it would have cut the hafting material. My understanding of it :dontknow:
Looks like a Dalton from here. Nice point !!

Yes, it looks to be a dalton. The ear may have been broken off and the notch was added to aid in hafting. But otherwise, a classic dalton.
