Is this gold? Found today Panning.

Hi all,

Found this today panning. It is flat and maluable / bendable. Slight redish color in spots. Is this gold?

It's got the shine of something precious after being buried so deep for who knows how long.

Curious of how this turned out. Did you have them tested? What was the outcome?

Wasn't able to get it tested yet and was not able to get back out to the spot due to Hurricane Sandy. Here is hoping the high water doesn't wash anything away!

For your sake I hope it is Gold, but I personally do not think it is. Gold will be soft like you said and malible. Thats why thousands of years of being pushed around it becomes molded and rounded over. I do not know what you have being so sharp and jagged thats strange. They almost look like shavings, maybe you scaped them off a biggin ! Anyway thats my 2 cents worth. LOL Good luck
