This is where I found the metal plate

It is about 10 in wide not sure about the thickness or height

Found it at a beach below Trump Golf Course etc

why would you think it from a warship?
there were no naval battles anywhere near there

I think it is part of an old muffler guard from a Suzuki motorcycle.

Looks like it may be part of a fuel tank baffle from a car or boat?
