🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Is this Military? How old?

I need help with identifying the particulars of this trunk/footlocker. I believe it’s military?

It has a Yale lock on the front, leather handles on the sides. It looks it might have had a shelf insert at one point. Metal inside.

My questions:
Is this military?
What is the era? Is this from a particular war?

It looks like many military trunks online, some say WWI, other say WWII, probably both are correct but without any markings/name on it to confirm it one way or the other, it would be just guessing which war it is from.

That all being said it's 80 to over 100 years old
