Yea - I can certainly say that it is nothing like any scabbard I have seen before. Not saying it is not, but just nothing that I have seen or dug.

They vary widely depending on what part of the world they are made in and what weapon its attached to. Some older military weapons had fixed bayonets which werent removable. After looking at this in a zoom mode i dont believe it is a scabbard
