Is this quartz? Do you know what kind?

[barryn]

I found this rock in south africa on safari thinking it was some type of quartz but does anyone know if that's correct?

Just plain old quartz. Don't get to hung up on types and variations.

Hope you didn't sneak it out between your toes, thinking you pulled a fast one on debeers. ;-)
Just playing with you and hope you had a wonderful safari. You were in a magical part of the world.
