Is this the right location for treasure hunting? If yes, any guidance on where to start?
found strange trees, ancient graves and several ancient house foundations.

This place was visited by the Portuguese in the 16th century, as well as the British and Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Maybe and then again maybe not, but I'd look around the foundations you mentioned.
