Cool rocks I've found while metal detecting old home site...
Is this chalcedony also??
The pics do them no justice, as the little crystal and quartz like shine is not seen.
I cant wait to clean them up... AND figure out how to make good close up pics with my camera!

I think they are calcite nodules, rocks or some call them geodes. There at Spring Branch, just past the store, heading north at the first road cut or slope there is a strip of soil that comes from E to W(see Texas Roadside Geology map) and contains many of these things. Not as pretty as quartz, but still nice. Round and hollow, easily broken by geology hammer....
