My first ever gold ring pulled from the ground! I did find a wallet full of rings a couple years ago, but those were stashed, so I don't count them
. Anyway, this the first time I have ever seen a gold ring in my plug. It was an awesome feeling! It was a choppy signal that was reading in the 40s and 50s on the AT Max. Once it was out of the hole, I was sure that it was going to be another pull tab or beaver tail. It was a huge surprise to see gold! It was an even bigger surprise to see that the band was engraved with "NEW ORLEANS. 1911"! The hallmark is a star and "A", which is for the Allsopp Brothers. They made high end jewelry in the late 1800s and early 1900s. I tested it when I got home and it tests 14k. This was definitely a great way to end the hunt. Thanks for looking and HH!
