It was a four ring day!!!!!

The stay started out bad and ended bad.

I arrived at the beach at 6 am today only to be greeted by 6 foot waves. The beach was kind of torn up so I decided I would search the area that would normally be dry sand. I found a belt buckle and some clad.

I decided I would try out an area that I have driven by many times and noticed that people do swim there. The water was calm there, parking was free.

I believe this area has never been hunted before. The first 30 minutes was only pull tabs. Then I started hitting clad and then I noticed a ring in the scoop. The jump for joy came to an end quickly when I realized that it was a junk ring. A few feet further and I got another toe ring, I believe it's silver. Then another 50 pull tabs and I pulled the big silver ring up, a spinner type, my second in one week. I was about to give up from exhaustion when I got another signal, another silver toe ring. I only searched part of the area, 7 feet out and about 70 feet of the area. I only hit about 1/3 of the area.

After finally stopping, I tried to head over to the beach again. Again in ankle deep water I got covered and knocked over by a wave. It's not worth trying to get out there for a few more days.

I included the junk with the pictures to show how full of metal this place is.

Very nice! Now I don't consider that a bad day! 4 rings.... and that one is really nice. Clean it up and let us see it again.

JP .....nice haul.... and even if all those pull tabs are a pain in the butt to dig, it might indicate it has not been worked hard....you may want to work it again?....rdi

Those few rings have been there a while, you may be right about no one or few detecting that. Good luck on the future hunts...

I really believe no one has searched this site. You can't swing without hitting some target. I was getting sometimes 3 and 4 pull tabs per scoop. The site is a little rustic and could be dangerous at the wrong hour of the evening(liquor bottles everywhere). I figure they should be asleep in the morning

. I believe that these style of pulltabs haven't been made for 20 years. They are everywhere. Plus there are danger signs everywhere about dangerous currents. I wouldn't go out too far even though I saw people swimming there the other day.

I put the toe rings in an electrolysis machine that I made. After about 15 minutes you could see the layers peeling off. Both have 925 on them so I guess it's safe to say they are silver.
