This italian Royal Army "Regio Escérsito" (R.E) spoon was found at the battlefield
Halbe south of Berlin.
It was found together with an italian medal that unfortunatelly
some other person has bought.
It belonged to an italian soldier (presumibly elite regiment) that
fought "to the bitter end" on the side of the germans against the russians.
The mark is "Alluminio puro" INUF .
I wish this spoon could "speak" and tell me its story .

Mike

Another great find, congrats!

Interesting WWII Italiano and in nice condition! HH, Mike

The soldier who used that spoon would be stunned to know that the countries fighting each other then are allies now. Let's hope it stays that way. As it is, we will be digging metal artifacts from past wars forever. We don't need any more reminders of war horror in our earth.
Wonderful piece for a collection.
