With Baltimore City parks closed to metal detecting for the months of July and August, I went to a Baltimore Co. park in the afternoon today. I was hoping for some clad, maybe jewelry, and perhaps, something old. Well, got two out of three: no jewelry but I did recover what the Equinox was reading as a loud 31 high-tone, a Champion 4-Lever padlock. Looks like the shackle was cut. Beautiful patina on this.

Not sure is this lock would open with a push key, as it appears that someone attempted to disable the lock with a deforming sharp blow to the back.

Here is a page from the Miller Lock Co. catalog that illustrates a similar lock. miller_lock_0000_01.webp

Here is a picture of a similar lock with the shackle deployed, which makes me think this one was cut through. champion4-2.webp
