I posted the poor thing January 21. At first I thought it was 18th century because of the other stuff found with it. It was missing the stone and the entire back side of the ring. Prongs were toast also. Here's a picture of it "before" the jeweler abused my credit card.

So they called and I was off today so drove down, I had just started a dig and found one minie, so left the site. Here's the "after" picture after the Valentine's Day Credit Card Massacre of 2018. There was no back in the ring when I found it, they also built up the prongs and the way the metal is it's a rose gold color near the stone that "whitens out" toward the other end opposite the stone. Stone is a natural garnet. Jeweler said it was 75 to 100 years old so ya'll were right about the age.
But I'll take it!
