Today I received a call for a service I sought about a week ago...late cold callers...

I informed the person that I have already contracted for the service...and thanked him for the call...

He continued to ask pertanent questions such as who I used, how much, and the like.

I know where that was going...an opening to bad mouth the competition...

and I finally told him that he was venturing into my personal business...and he continued...

So I said, "I have tried to be tactful in stating that this is none of your business...is there something you don't understand?"

And that's where I hung up :laughing9:

Or my other ever faithful line

That was you???

you can make up just about any question you feel comfortable asking....I have asked some very personal ones....

Yes you did :icon_thumleft: Like a dope I answered 1/2 of them too

Eh, they're just doing their job.
We get them all the time and when they ask for "Mister" I say, "no he's not here." They ask, 'is this missus?'
I reply, in a hushed tone, "No, this is his mistress, please leave us alone"

They never call back. ever.

I can use that when they call fer AP..............<with a latin accent> "No. He is in the shower........this is his gay lover Miguel." :icon_thumleft:

yes, this is universal or interchangeable....feel free to adapt your own life interpretation.

ya know, there's nothing wrong with that:)

Never call back :icon_scratch: Heck, I'd have your number on speed dial to hear that :laughing9:

I love the calls I get at work; breaks up the day: "Hi! This is Darren from Associated Refills. I need to verify your copier's serial number."

"Which copier would that be?"
"The one on your desk."
"I don't have one on my desk."
"Then the one you print to."
"Oh, ok. May I verify your name?"
"This is Jason." (No longer "Darren")
"Last name?"
"Johnson."
"Ok. Thanks, Jason. And your Social Security number?"
"I don't have to give you that."
"Oh, ok. Your address and phone number?"
"I just need to verify your copier serial number."
"Oh, ok. Your address and phone number?"
-click-

They never can remember their original name and later name. Even though they speak with a foreign accent, they're always "Jason" or "David" or "Dan." And the last name (if you ask) is always Patel.
