It has been a while since I've spoke up on the board. Had fun scooping up these yesterday after I asked a teller for "big dollars"!
3 Cartwheels and Ike silver. Makes me wish I had more time to spend on this very part-time hobby.

All I find are clad ikes around here. Most people don't even know what I am talking about when I say large dollars. Beautiful coins. Lucky!

I asked if a bank had large dollars a couple weeks ago and the lady thought I meant hundred dollar bills.... Apparently most bank tellers have never seen Ike's, Morgans or Peace dollars. I got a chuckle out of it though, she did too when I explained it to her. Nothing like helping educate another fellow american about the history of our currency.

I like the 89! Looks AU - BU in the pic! Did you check for mint marks? 89 CC in that shape is worth a few thousand!

I used to be able to order IKES if the main central vault had any and occasionally get a morgan or peace in the order. It's been a few year and I can't order IKES anymore.. anyone else had experience with this?

If one can't order anymore.. what do the banks do with them.. let them pile up?

The Ike dollar date looks like 1971. Are those silver? I know the halves are silver up thru '70. What about the dollar coins?

Yes! An 89 CC in that condition would be off the charts! Great finds!

ask for BIG dollars. I have one on my keychain and always show it when I ask. Then half the time they still pull out those little things.

They don't listen or see when they look.
