This month has been outstanding for me. I have never in my life been this lucky and just want to say thank you to whoever is looking out for me.

I went out today for few hours just to kill time. I wasn’t expecting much so I was just taking my time digging targets. I digging lots of thrash as usual along with pennies. I was using the 800 and since I wasn’t finding much I started just jumping between park 1 and field 1. After a few hours I came across this iffy target that would jump all over the place with negative numbers and hit 20-21 once in a while. I’m like another Penny, I guess I will dig since it’s my last target. I dug it and I see this weird coin staring back at me. I grab it and I’m a little confused now cause it sure doesn’t look like a Penny at all. After a few seconds go by it finally clicks, OMG this a fracken gold coin. Now I’m shaking And trying to figure out what to do next. After a minute or two I figured I should put it on top of the detector to let it breath and take a picture. Well, here it is and I hope
this isn’t a dream. Thank you for looking and remember to dig everything because you just never know. HH

im happy fot you deserve it banner my friend holy grail in your pail

This is great stuff there Rasco, what a surprise THAT must have been, what else can I add. Gold Coin. So..... in Park 1? A 20-21 jumping around with some neg. numbers, perhaps on edge? Some iron around it? Who knows really, point is you found a "Gold Coin". Don't know what might be better. Heartfelt congratulations.

That dig blew my mind. I can only imagine how much good stuff we have left behind because we just get tired of digging pennies so we starting skipping a few digs here and there.

By the time I found it I was running field 1 and found the coin near a lot of iron. This coin was never in my bucket list because I wanted to keep somewhat realistic. HH

1905 $5 dollar gold! Amazing find. What state was this found in? I'm voting banner!

I’m located in California. Thank you and HH

That’s just awesome. Most pictures I see of detected gold coins are clean and shine like they were dropped yesterday. Yours has a dug look that I think gives it way more character. Congrats! [emoji16][emoji106]

Most of the dirt on it fell off on its own. What little was left I gently pressed it and came off too. I didn’t do anymore cleaning, not even pour water on it. On my way home I stopped to get it’s new comfy sleeping quarters :icon_thumright:
Thanks for looking and HH

Thank you so much everyone, you guys are awesome in this forum. Good luck to you all and may your coil sniff out many of your bucket listers.

Awesome! But I didn’t know they ever minted her with a beard.:happy3:

Great find If I ever find a gold coin I may just stop looking right than. For me that would be ultimate find and I would think I could never do better after that

Wow awesome find! :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright: If I ever find one I'll probably faint!

Sweet! I wish more East Coasters carried those around back in the day, pretty rare find anywhere in the country but Cali seems to have the most of them. Congrats, you're not dreaming!
