6 different war nicks in the past two days...not too bad. :icon_thumleft:
Yeah, any six out of 2 boxes would be pretty good, but six different ones is really good. And I needed 4 of them for my album.

Doing my last stock-piled box of nickels this afternoon. Then I have 2 cent boxes and a dime box before I deplete my horde. Lots of dump change to get rid of before we go on vacation in a couple days :)

Picked up my two boxes of halves today - I was on vacation last week when they came in.

Box #5: 3 40%ers. First one was in the first-ever roll my 5 year old daughter opened. She was so excited when I told her she found silver.
The 2nd and 3rd 40% were in the same roll.

Also found a beat-up 1972 proof - actually my 12 year old son found it on top of the dump pile after I had overlooked it!

And then there was this find:
1986CommObv.jpg 1986CommReverse.jpg

An absolute stunner. Super-clean, no signs of wear.

Box #6 was even better.

EIGHT 40%ers. And my first-ever 90%er:

1942halfObv.jpg 1942halfReverse.jpg

My only regret is that I opened this 2nd box in the middle of the night and my son wasn't up to see these finds. He's going to freak in the morning.

If I get a box this good once every 6 boxes - heck, once every 20 boxes - I'll be a very happy coin roll hunter.

Halves totals: $3000 searched, 13 40%, 1 Walker :)

What an awesome way to score your first 90% half! Aren't you glad you decided to venture into halves?! Great finds jamesandsons.

Nice find my friend! I think Walkers might be my favorite coin out there...love the design. I should be getting back in the halves game next week when I return to my old stomping grounds. One of my banks there has halves boxes about 50% of the time and it's first come, first serve, 1 box per day limit - no orders accepted. I'm actually a pretty big fan of their system. If that bank doesn't have halves, they'll even let me get two boxes of dimes per day. Hopefully, nothing changed over the summer. But yeah, congrats on your first 90%er.

Box of halves (#11): skunk. Wasn't planning on having a box today, but a teller at my dump bank asked if I was interested in boxes - they had 3 laying around from a previous customer who stopped coming in. But shed only sell me one without a fee. So I bought one. Evidently the wrong one.

1977-S clad proof
4 NIFC (02,08,09,10)

Halves totals: $5500 searched, 14 40%, 1 Walker
Silver skunk streak: 4 boxes

Two more boxes of halves - both skunks. Getting two more today though. Or tomorrow. Or whenever I can manage to process them without overdrafting my account.

Halves totals: $6500 searched, 14 40%, 1 Walker
Silver skunk streak: 6 boxes

Dime box: 1964-D. First silver I've seen all week! Felt like I'd never see silver again.

New dime totals: $4040 searched; 23 Roosies, 1 Merc, 1 Barber.

Great day for silver - the dimes & half were the results of a spontaneous afternoon jaunt out to a small-town suburb branch of my main pickup bank. Good call, self!

Wow...nice find on that 1970 half. I've found 145 40%'s so far, but none of the 1970 variety. Congratulations!

Monday - $100 bank-wrapped dimes: 1964-D ender
Wednesday - $405 misc dimes - mostly Loomis - went on an eight-bank crime spree, getting $20-$40 here and there from banks I don't have accounts at. First time doing that. Results:
1959-D ender (2nd silver, 2nd ender)
1984-S proof
1946 wheat cent shaved down to perfect dime size. I bet some kid made this as a slug in his garage 60 years ago.

New dime totals: $4695 searched; 28 Roosies, 1 Merc, 1 Barber.
