Japanese geisha button

Anyone know anything about this button it has a wierd construction and some japanese writting i think. would be at least 100 years old and looks like it used to have some gold gilt

Yes was dug not far from a segregated part of camp maybe 100 yards away from thier tents looks heavily worn too
