I found this while metal detecting at the beach. I'm guessing it's a Japanese fishermans badge. Also, can anybody tell me what time period it's from?

Yes I think daroofa is correct. Clean it up a bit, I think thats what it says.

Can you tell us what is in the center? It may be from the Tai Yo Industry in Hong Kong, Taiwon..

I think it says Hong Kong, but I'm not sure. It's probably it though.
