The coins are likely Chinese. You can find the date and dynasty of the coins at this site. Identify your Chinese coins Nice finds.

It's much harder to ID when you can't read a thing (at least I can't) that is on it. Agreed most likely chinese as they almost all have the square hole, only some japanese coins do.
