HI I JUST WANTED TO START BY SAYING HI I`M NEW HERE .I WANT TO SHARE A FIND I MADE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO.I WAS HUNTING THE WOODS AT MY LOCAL PARK WHERE I`VE FOUND MINIE BALLS AND BARBER SILVER, BUT THIS WAS A SUPRISE. THERE WERE 42 NECKLACES INDIVIDUALY WRAPPED IN PLASTIC AND THIS OTHER STUFF ABOUT 10" DEEP IN THE SAME HOLE.IT DIDNT TAKE ME LONG TO FIGURE OUT IT WAS JUNK JEWELRY, BUT IT REALLY GOT MY HEART PUMPING PULLING IT OUT OF THE GROUND.(SOMBODY REALLY THOUGHT THEY HAD SOMETHING) THIS WAS MY FIRST CACHE NEXT TIME I HOPE ITS REAL.

Cool! Welcome to TNet. Can't wait to see more of your finds.

Very interesting. Makes you wonder WHY? Guess they thought they were real. Kudos to you for finding them. Pretty cool discovery regardless. Welcome to the forum and good luck with future hunts!

HH,
Moon

Nice find....did you find those little individual salt shakers with it also?

yes i found all of that stuff in the same hole the two salt and pepper shakers have crystal tops(where the holes are). all of the necklaces have class ring charms on them.there were also 87-91 charms used for graduation.there was a local jewelry shop that was robbed around that time and i heard all they got away with was some junk jewelry.dont know if its related but you never know.

Could be stolen loot, A year or so ago I saw a similar story and it alll turned out to be from a recent robery, Very neat finds.

WOW! That must have been very exciting!

Too bad it's all costume jewelry. :'(

Oh, and welcome to TNet!

Thanks for sharing.

a cashe is a cashe its all relative ;D ;D ;D

Did a flea market ever take place there? looks like that kind of stuff. nice finds all the same!

This is in the woods behind the park, very steep area. There are a few caves and evidence of people being up there drinking, hiding out or what ever they do up there.I think it must have been a kid that thought it was valuable and stashed it up there 10" in the ground probably stolen from someone

I found a cache of jewelry like yours a few months back, it also was junk jewelry.....I got tired of digging rusted earrings, and pins out of the ground, i did find a few coins mixed in...my guess was it was a theft from quite a long ago.....

cool find........

Check the bigger Salt shaker's......My wife has some that are Crystal and the "cap's" are silver.Very cool dig's regardless.......HH!!

nice finds anyway
