Thanks for sharing, ADS. Grew up religiously on vintage Country western and never strayed. Far as I'm concerned, ( except for a handful of tunes) the crud that has passed for country music in the past 30+ years ain't so.
My paw was with 7th Engineers in Nam in 1964. ( flamethrower guy ).
 

Certain memories from those Nam days reminds me of this one:
It was sung 25 years after the original; and still sounded great.

I posted the story of the Huge scorpions in Cambodia (my "signature" section) in the Barracks forum some months ago. So many posts on here now, new threads disappear daily!

Pushing 50 years ago now, long long time ago. It's getting so that each day is a long time ago! "Sounds of Silence" was one of the great songs of the era - not many like that. My youngest daughter keeps sending me her favorites from today, I know she does - but I don't remember them... Sounds of Silence I'll never forget!
