what was this site?...an old dump?... a farm site? what is the story?

It's a subdivision dirt is being hauled in from a old part of town under construction . The soil is sandy river bottom and being graded and mixed with clay soils to build pads . There's a lot of rock and junk to screen out and bottles are part of the spoils .

oh man oh man....just think what is being crushed.

I was told that a large amount of the dirt that had to much trash in it was taken to a land fill:BangHead:

I can't "Like" that. We need a "Hate" button sometimes. That is so painful to hear, although you might find out from them the landfill location and talk to the owner/operator about looking through the spoils. Can't hurt to ask. Sometimes, the term used might be "landfill" when in reality, it was actually dumped in a low area or gully on someone's private property. Best of luck.

I'm drooling! Thanks for the show.!

Took this all in from beginning to end- with my mouth open, jaw dropping. My mouth is dry and now I've got an eye tic. My GOD, man! This is ANYone's treasure-hunting dream come true!! So glad your son was able to salvage and rescue what he could. Just simply amazing. Now I'm going to go back and start all over reading and trying to keep my jaw from getting splinters LOL

I agree with All , Absolutely outstanding recoveries !

My son sold the Whiskey to a collector / dealer for $1500 he wanted to pay for his new Metal detector . He said all I did was pick up a old bottle off the ground and I don't collect bottles . The dealer can clean it and take his chances on auction .

Good for him! Sounds like everybody is happy and that's all that matters. Thanks for the update.

Sounds really great!
