Went for a short trip to see the fall colors. The nut trees are such a deep golden color this yr. Such a delightful drive.
The reservoir dam above the shut-ins broke a few yrs ago. Leaving the park changed forever. The damage is still clearly seen, but of course nature has healed itself & left us amazed at what natural forces can do. Here is a site about the break & the flood.

It is an interesting read.
