funny you should say that. On all the islands in the pacific they love spam. It like money on remote islands. I was trading it for dolphin fish, tuna, lobsters. On remote atolls they do not get much meat and no way refrigerate meat either. So its like gold to the natives. Some islands in the Tuamotus I was getting black pearls for tins of Spam.

Time to buy a case of spam and return for more pearls.
Rotated a couple tins of Spam out of my 30 cal. can stash. There is a tin of corned beef in there too.
Not sure why corned beef. For persnickety guests or barter maybe.
