Joining in on all the swinging fun from San Diego

Heyyas Treasure.Net my name is Blake and I have been stalking the boards lately and decided pounce on the opportunity to join in on the fun. Ive prospected a few years while growing up with Pop's, we found all kinds of old coins using very basic metal detectors and a few camping trips to Banner Grade netted us some fine gold. (near Julian). Flash forward 10 ish years and here we are, Pops is retired and I'm self employed with a ton of free time on my hands its prime time for re-kindling old passions.


I'm Still researching what metal detector will fit my target areas best.
California Beach- Salt water friendly(San Diego to Santa Barbra)
I really would like to gear towards jewelry / treasure


Any suggestions would be Greatly appreciated $1,500 is Budget

Welcome Blake and Pops! For California black sand beaches , a great saltwater detector is the Minelab Excalibur II. It's a multi frequency machine, and you can actually dive with it.
