There are patent dates of Mar 7 71 & Nov 3 74 (1871/74) visible on the back. They had many patterns that these patents covered, many show up with animals and such rather than a name, but these turn up fairly often. If I recall correctly it was the National Suspender Co. that made them, perhaps Joyce was a retailer that had had their name put on them??
