Looks a little too straight for an ancient wall to me. May just be an effect from Google Earth, like the edge of that particular graphic image.

I'm familiar with the horizontal frame lines on Google Earth. There is one shown in White just above the the Place Marker.

The vertical line is different and I don't see any assosciation to the mapping process. I haven't seen any evidence that civilizations of at least the past 2000 years were incapable of building straight walls. If it is a man made anomaly my guess
would be during the 1300's to 1500's. Probably Indians. humble

I seriously doubt this is something built by native americans, if it's really anything at all. It could be something as simple as a easement cleared off for a land survey.

This is under the ocean, nearly 1/2 mile from shore. Possibly under 20-30 feet of water. humble

LOL...duh...should have actually read your post completely. My apologies.

Probably the plumbing for dredging sand onto the beach...

Isn't there an underwater cable some where in that area??

There is at least one very old communications cable that runs from Jupiter to Nassau I believe. I have run across it several times while diving. However, it is damaged, broken in some places and is definitely not in a straight line anymore.

There may be additional cables.

Tom

I don't know a reason a cable, or dredge pipe would have been laid going East, and then bend and go North a half mile off shore?

It may, or may not, be anything at all, but if only for curiosity I would think it would bear investigating? humble

The area out of Jupiter Inlet is very sandy, and shallow, and it is usually very clear, especially on a rising tide. Swimming pool clear often. If anything at all was out there like that, it would have been seen long ago. That is a picture overlay from sat pics. You can get some weird reflections and stuff from them too.
