I planned on a short visit to "clad city" today. Didn't expect anything but clad and that's what
I got.

2015 (214).webp

Kept me busy, always had a chance, learned some more about my machine.

Blingie & Fishy are happy enough.

I'm comfortably tired tonight, (should sleep well).

What more could one ask? :)

Thanks for peeking!

nice couple two three bucks! batteries aint free!

Sometime just a good unwind with the machine is perfect. And with every signal you learn a little tiny bit more about your detector

Nothing wrong with a hunt that repays. You've been doing really well since the thaw and I wish you more luck! Sub 8-)

That's quite a few nickels. Keep that up and you'll get some gold!

That's a good day of therapy. Sometimes you just want to add to the hobby account for future upgrades.

Sure beats the three pennies and 40 rusty bottle caps I dug today.

That's a good haul there buddy! And the little guys look Happy...:icon_thumright:

Well, I might've just been kicking back but I didn't go without a minimal plan. ;)

I was trying to hear the differences between a 52 - pulltab and a 52-nickel. Of course, gold was never far from my mind. :)

I actually think I've got a pattern that actually works. I was calling my shots at about 89 percent correct. Kind of fun when
one knows something about their machine that others apparently don't. I'm not skipping signals, but, I am calling them right. :)

Now, if I can just figure out the difference between a 42 - foil and a 42 - gold. ;) :goldcoin:

Nice contribution to the coffee fund

Nice contribution to the coffee fund

I get a lot of that when I show my clad. Good coffee, battery, gas, fund money. AND, it's all true! But, it doesn't quite cover the importance
of the day to day "minor" finds.

This past year my clad has paid for :

1. Batteries
2. Gas
3. Pro-Pointer
4. Brakes and Rotors for the car
5. AND...All the equipment needed for me to be able to add water hunting back as an option.

Keep that in mind the next time you dig up that lowly clad quarter. ;)

Thanks!

Haha very funny:laughing7:
I've only picked about 200 bucks in clad in 2.5 yrs that'd take a lifetime to wait for clad for me

Well, I do spend more time at it and I tend to hunt places that hold a lot of clad. But, all those things I listed? They
aren't cheap. AND....I haven't used ALL the clad I've found yet. ;)

I hear ya, how much was the most you've gotten in a year? I've heard people getting like 5-6 hundred bucks!

Oh, well I don't really know. I used to just keep one of those big popcorn kettles around. You know the kind with 3 or 4 different styles of popcorn in them?
Pretty big. I had one full after a couple years. I never kept tabs to see how fast it was filling. :dontknow:

I have one spot I try to hit every year just to clean up on clad. Modern athletic fields with no old history. I usually just cherry pick quarters only. My record is 122 quarters in about a 3 hour hunt. I try to get at least 50 quarters each hunt now. I think I have pulled over 1000 quarters out of there over the years ! They move the bleachers in the Fall from softball fields to football fields and then I clean up with most quarters right on the surface under where the bleachers were !

Yeah, I know. It's kind of fun, walking around picking up money, ain't it. ;)

But, you gave me an idea. Ya know I've never actually just tried to see how many quarters I could find in one trip. It might be a fun trip. I might have to try that some day. :)

Thanks!
