Not much civil war battle history here in Colorado, but when I'm down by Denver's old and run down Riverside Pioneer cemetery surrounded today ironically by loud trains, a hugh power plant and smelly oil refinery and you can tell at one time long ago was a place of peace and rest on a hill next to the Platte river. Today the ground has seen so little watering the trees are dying let alone the grass. I'll take walk amongst those who saw those battles as they have a corner plot were the veterans of the civil war had been laid to rest. One soldier looks over his side to the north and the other looks over the side of the south. I'm thinking these veterans had all headed west to seek their fortunes after the war between the states was over. Thanks! I see your keeping our history alive.
