Just another mixed bag.

Several odd hits today too. Keeps it interesting.



I even got a bit lost today. Fortunately, I found a compass!



One of those "odd" hits! The thing is that there's no
fish-able water within miles of this place! The hit was very
strange. I kept getting an iron grunt with a quarter chirp.
I found the hook and right below it was a clad quarter!

So, who's baiting their lines with clad quarters now?



It says "Royce NY" on the back.

Maybe used to be a dome button?



This thing was a real puzzle in the field. I saw it
on top of the ground about the same time the coil did.
Thing is, I could not get a signal from it! I was getting 01, 02!

Only thing I can figure is that the ground mineralization was
negating the signal.



It's constructed well, unmarked and very slightly magnetic. I
figure stainless. Anyway, they seem happy.

Was a very different find. It's always good to get something that makes me say, Whad I Find!?!?

That chain though, lying on top, and the detector could NOT see it!?!? Now, THAT has me a bit concerned.

I'm surprised Fishy is that close to the hook, but then if it used for "quarter" fishing that's another thing.

Blingie will need all the help he can get to haul the necklace away!
If it's slightly magnetic, i think you are right, it has some iron in it and the detector sees it as ground.

If there was a squirrel in the mix we know what he would be taking....there maybe one out there trying to find a missing acorn!

Guess you can keep your bearings now, unless Blingie needs a blanket.

What is the item on the ruler next to the key? It looks like a third ring to me ( with a diamond!) lol! Just my wishful thinking.

That thing next to the key is just some sort of a plastic clamp. It has a plastic screw in it.

Guys, don't fret about Fishy & the hook. He's got much too much smart to be bothered by it. See? He's already built a steel wall around him.
