Just bought a Silver uMax on ebay.

Now I need some good Silver uMax stories to keep me going till it gets here. I played with one in the store and was surprised by how sensitive it was. Felt like swinging a feather too. It was real quiet on an iron spike at Iron disc. My Tiger shark chirps and clicks in iron.

I think you will find that the Silver is a great little detector for a beep and dig machine. Certainly a good buy for the price.
