Yes they are good eating just like many other things, it tastes like chicken only the texture is a bit firm. You can hunt them if you have a permit. I think they issue about 4300 permits a year on a first come first serve basis, and the season runs from Aug.15-Nov.1, so the season is over already this year. Oh yeah, they only have to be longer than 18 inches, though I don't know why anyone would want to harvest one that small.superduty said:hes a tasty fellow......can you harvest them?...someone told me if they where over 4 foot you can.
