Just Meh...

[romeo-1]

Only had an hour today...more lead and what I though was a bayonet frog but now I have no idea...

[ironhorse]

Nope not off a bayonet , pin from a snap hook, horse tack etc
As long as you can put the shovel in the dirt, still a good day!

I really can't imagine there would anything else you could dig that would top your year a
any better

Me neither...except maybe a belt plate or killer Loyalist button...I'll find out tomorrow!!!

[ANTIQUARIAN]

Nice finds, I wish I could find as many round balls as you!
At least your still digging at the end of November!

Any day your digging at this point is a great day in my book...as always love the old lead...

[Old Dude]

I agree. Old lead is as fun to find as almost anything. Great finds.

By the looks of the upcoming weather you are not done yet. But it's true you already made your year and it would take quite a button to compete with that half. I know I would put a nice 76th silver officer button on the same level, but not sure many else would. There's not many Loyalist officer buttons, but that would also do it, and if pewter it would probably have to be minty and rare... and most don't have the bigtime rarity anymore. So if you manage to pull it off I would be very interested to see what it is!

[jewelerguy]

cool finds in my book

[Msbeepbeep]

At lest you made it out to hunt, and found some neat stuff. There's a ton of stuff out there still in the ground, the magic is to wave your coil over that one square foot of ground that the goody is in. Can't find it if you don't hunt it, your hunting!

[HISPAN]

is better than nothing and stay home for rain.

This time of year I would say if you can just retrieve a target, it is a successful hunt. I hope I can get out tomorrow, maybe get down your way but first I have to take the oil pan off the van.
