Got out for a bit today. Didn’t find much, but I was happy to dig this 2 cent coin. The date side is a bit rough, but I can still make out 1864. This is only the third one I’ve found in 43 years of metal detecting.

Two cent pieces are so cool! Congrats! Super hard to find, as well. I love seeing obsolete denomination U.S. coins posted!

Nice find Fullstock. The 2 Center was a short lived series. Glad you added another one to your collection.

One of the best US coins in my opinion, I've only got two so I should expect my 3rd soon too!

Love those, I've only found two both 1868.

Hopefully you’ll find one soon, that’s what I love about this hobby, you never know what you’ll find next. [emoji16]

Thank you, and yes, you don’t see them found very often. I was surprised to see the two when I wiped the dirt off.
