We all have them from time, to time; it's called "just one of those days". Thank god they don't come around too often, but when they do, they sure have a way of messing with you. :tongue3:

I was attending a golf outing for one of the commerce clubs I belong to. The weather wasn't the greatest as we still had some spritz's from a storm the day before, so the remainder of the day was a bit dark and cool. Now it's off to check-in, where my phone jumped off the phone holder 3 times, not a good start. Well I checked in and got my cart assignment and went back to put the clubs on the cart, then off to lunch. After lunch we have a 50/50 on a putting contest and I was part of a 3-way tie, sad to say in the play offs I lost big time :tongue3: and so begins the start of one of those days.

We all go to the assigned carts and I was told that I had to move my clubs to another cart, so no problem. A few minutes later I was again asked with my playing partner to put our clubs in yet a 3rd cart. A little frustrating, but nothing to get excited about, that will come next.

Since I haven't even picked up a club in a year I knew I was going to be a bit rusty, but not being able to hit the ball on the first tee just started getting to me. It felt like I never held a club in my hand and that was not a good feeling. I normally place my phone in the cart while playing so I can check e-mails during the day, but today I left it on my belt. I had received an e-mail by our second hole and was going to answer it a little later. When we had a break within 2 holes, no cell phone. We tried looking and calling my phone to hear it, but it was not to be. Now I am beside myself, just when I was getting into the swing of things I'm worried about that stupid phone.

Although my play did get better at times, I couldn't focus thinking of my Blackberry. I had reported my phone lost to one of the grounds people so word quickly spread to be on the lookout for the phone. I went on playing and finally playing well for the last 9 holes and returned to the pro shop and see if it was found. Not yet, so I had to leave my information and started to get ready for the dinner. I mentioned the problem to the committee chairman, who would make an announcement later and then to my friend to borrow his phone. I got a cart and went to where I thought it might have been found and started calling. Well I got lucky and a group from the dinner had it :hello2:

For dinner the seating wasn't properly set up to accommodate the full group and since I was out looking for my phone, I was short a place to sit. Well eventually all was resolved and that was the last inconvenience I would have for the day. Although it wasn't the worst day in the world, it sure felt like it to me :tongue3:

P.S. When I was trying to post this a bit earlier I couldn't get any access to T-Net :icon_scratch: Were any of you having this problem, or is this a carry over from yesterday :dontknow:

Oh!! now dont feel to bad buddy...We all have those days...Just the other night I had pulled my brain out well to play with it. When I was done I rushed away and forgot it.... :laughing7: Thats how we have those days.. :tongue3:

Oh almost forgot Spart, What usually starts off one of those days. When yuh get up go take a leak, not paying attention zip the thing up in the zipper... ???
Hang in their buddy it will get better. Well I hope...Did you let yer guard down? :icon_scratch:

I'm skeptical of someone that plays 'cow pasture pool' to begin with .
Had trouble earlier getting on TNet , myself .
Catchin 'Willie' in the zipper is no problem ................ There's just NO graceful way to get him out without pain :tongue3: :tongue3: :tongue3: :hello:

:laughing9: Love that term for golf and very fitting too.

Yep. We all have em but things get better. I was sick as a dog Weds & Thursday, turns out I was takin 1000mg tabs twice a day instead of the 500mg I take twice, doubling my dosage. Metformin, gives me hardcore cramps & worst diarreah Ive ever had in my life. Had a headache for 3 days straight, still have it but able to come to work today. I get here 20 mins ago, check email & finaly got a quote on a lagoon cover that Ive been workin on for 2 months & checked our little experimental proto-type in the shop & have 35lbs pressure of bio-gas! My CEO prommised that if we get 12 cubic feet of gas from 3.5 lbs of cow crap over a month of remediation he flies us to Vegas for a weekend. Still have 2 weeks of remediation left & its lookin like we just make the goal! I still feel like a truck ran me over but things are looking up.............hang in there Spart. It gets better ya know! :icon_thumright:

Just one of those days!!! That was my golf game. After about 7 years my swing and play just did not get any better than a hacker. So I graduated to a swing I could control, I bought my first MD. Now there is a swing. Instead of spending all that money on green fees and balls and "refreshments", now I find treasures buried in that one hole instead of that hole in one. I still go out once or twice a year now, but that is it.

I wasn't complaining about my score, there was a time I was a 13 handicap and that's not too shabby.
I am one that is competitive, but when I'm not playing well I can always joke. When someone mentions I should be on "the green" in less shots, I tell them if I wanted to be on the green in regulation I would be playing pool :laughing7:

This was a business outing, with the chance to score some additional accounts. Losing the Blackberry with all my e-mails and contacts for a day was costly. It was also a day I couldn't really afford, but it was cheaper to actually pay and see nearly 100 people who did show up so I could network. I was able to see people from NY/NJ all in one place, which would normally take over a week to do, so I saved on gas and tolls. The tolls into NY alone are well over $30, not to mention at least 2 tanks of gas, that runs me $60 a fill-up. Not being in a good frame of mind took some of the energy out of my networking is all. It was just all that petty stuff in-between losing the Blackberry that made me wonder

The good part is that I did meet 4 good potential customers, that with finding the Blackberry just made for an interesting day.
