Hi all. I just retired 1 year ago. I summer in Minnesota and winter in Arizona. Treasure hunting has always interested me, but I know nothing about detectors. Can you let me know your recommendations? I don't have a lot of discretionary income so am looking for the best for less. Thank you

Welcome from Texas, werock. Try finding a hobby shop or detector shop that has demo models. Find one that feels right. Prices can very a lot. I started with an ACE 250, and now have several others on my wish list. There is a lot of info on this site on detectors, and no matter which one you choose, there will be somebody on here that has had a bad experience with it.
