Great finds Ron! I want to go back, but the wife says I have to take her and my daughter on a vacation there first!
I was there in 07 and arrived the day Christie found a huge axe head laying on the surface.
Can't wait to get back there again!
One day I'd like to take advantage of one of your barn hunts.

Great hunting!!!, Someday I'll have to make it over to the land of my ancestors and give it a try! Gold is always a good find.... and in old coinage....you hit the jackpot!!!! Good luck

Ron,

I just looked at this again & thought it looks a little big in the hand for a qrter are you sure its not a 1/2 ? It makes a huge different in price

SPINK 2010:

1/4 - F £140, VF £325, EF £550 - circa 16mm
1/2 - F £475, VF £1250, EF £3000 - circa 20mm

If its a 1/2 its probably worth more than the Celtic Gold

Is it hard to bring stuff back when you find it? How weird are the laws
on stuff you find and how do you set up to detect over there?

Thanks much and your finds are AWESOME!!!
