- Started with a Garrett. I think I've probably tried everything make and model from 1977, all the way to the up to the E-trac and GPX 4800.
Nothing new as for me now, I am pretty much handicapped.

. Pretty much disabled now due to some bad spine surgery 3 years ago, but I still can get out for an hour or so. I use my stainless steel shovel like a cane, holding it behind me so my detector doesn't false too much. Then I lay flat for a few days, I'm ok again. That's how much I love to hunt. I love the woods. I'm on SSDI, so no new toys for me. Had a dream to detect gold out west one day, even bought lots of different gold detectors through the years , just to check them out. Last one was a GPX 4800. Bought and sold a lot of units through the years. I think I tried most machines out there. Hunted with a Los Banos CZ 5 and LB CZ 21 for Surf. And then came the first Excal! It's coil was a horseshoe shape! I wore that thing out! The hardest machine in my opinion? The Nautilus. Never did get that one tuned just right...So anyways...Hello!
