Just when you thought you've seen it all......???

I found this item today in with some ol junk. Do any of you have a clue what this is or what it is used for?
It says TRASCO ? A1476 and it is heavy.

I do not know if this is it but I used there stuff in the Oil field off shore . TRASCO Couplings Co.
They made a lot of heavy duty items for us to use on the Off Shore rigs , and their equipment cost a lot of money . :)
But it was well made .

We had one of those on the farm. You use it to seperate the flat link chains used on old corn pickers and other older pieces of equipment. You insert the flat link in the appropreate sized slot and tap the adjoining link off or on. Of course us kids used it for a hammer too so my dad could never find it when he needed it.

Its called a chain breaker. Its used to separate the flat chain links on farm equipment, etc.
