This was just a crusty blob when I found it. After knocking all the crud off and soaking it in vinegar a bit, I found the Peerless Silver mark. From what I've read about that company, they made silver plated items, but, I don't see any Sterling stuff. Either way, I can't figure out what this may have been for. Advertising ingot? Did they make any that were .925? I see some discolored spots on it, and some rough casting areas, but, no plating flaking off.
