We took a trip back to Kansas, east side. Found out the hard way the ground is really really hard here. I broke my pin pointer first day here. I tried JB weld with no luck. Anyways, hunted a freinds backyard here and found a few what the heck is that....

It broke right at the base of the shaft, or sleeve. It had also broke the connection on the resistor, but was able to solder that back.

Sucks about your pointer, you may give a fiberglass patch kit a try,be pretty messy but if you trim the patchs nice and be neat with the sauce Im sure it would be strong enough to hold it,good luck...shoot

Try this it works. Get some black "rubber" tape (not vinyl) Take a few tight wraps around the break with out obstructing the power button. Then take some household plumbing goop, and cover the rubber tape as neat as you can. Let it dry overnight. It wont break again, and it will be water proof. I have done the same thing in the past.

JB weld doesn,t seem to work on plastic,it softens it..Might try 2 part epoxy.
Yes the ground in KS is hard,Ive bent 2 gator diggers this year.

My suggestion is come to the CTH4 hunt and win a new one.

Get a Garrett Pro-pointer. The best investment you can buy. They are super rugged.

super glue it back together let it dry then use a soldering gun and drag it across the crack and melt the plastic back together knda like welding it
