our washed broke down a few months ago and I've been walking allot more since then. Shoot I even did a boot review for L.L. Bean and They sent me a another pair of boots. (I never knew that their products had a life time guaranty) but thats another story..

Typically my wife would haul me about 8 miles down the road to our closest laundry mat. I'd wash cloths and search the parking lot and of course walking home I would always keep my eyes peeled. Most morning turn up treasures like my rocks and so on. (cause that what I'm looking for)

I can spot a penny (heads up or down) a mile away.. yet give me a book.. I can't see it without my glasses. Also it pays to know how to look.. walking into the sun light is ok, with the sun at your back, bad.. But have the sun at one side or another.. and you look for anything shinning.. well you know the rest.

I think one reason I walk with my head down.. is cause I can barely walk as it is.. having been hit head on by a car in the 80's tends to catch up with us older folks. So here is a typical morning find for me..

Just a few odds and ends.. However one of those diamonds (top right) has my interested peeked.. I'm hoping to take it to the pawn shop for identification purposes.

Phhfftt.. Who needs a metal detector anyway.. with eyes like mine..

Fantastic eyeball finds!!!

thanks.. so can you spot if there is anything that really worth anything?.. I'm thinking one of the diamonds and maybe the aquamarine pendant..

You found 3 earrings with the back still on them? That is odd.

I find ear rings with backs more than without. The top right diamond looks really promising. Keep us posted.

that's the way I've always been. I can spot change laying in the road as I'm driving, but the old eyes ain't what they used to be
