Keep'em coming!

Hi all,
Got a chance to hit another yard in my neighborhood today. This makes 5 silvers for the year so far. But I was really happy to find my first Tootsie Toy. The Key is somewhat of a mystery. It is very heavy and thick with a square hole. Not sure exactly what it goes to. Found it yesterday in the other yard I hit 2 days ago. I think it may be for a water valve or clock. Any suggestions are appreciated! Going to hit hard tomorrow.
Thanks for looking and of course...HH,
Bunker

Re: Keep'em coming!

Nice finds Bunker! :o Love the look of that Tootsie Truck! :notworthy:
That key does look like the shutoff for an outside water tap! :icon_thumright:

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Keep'em coming!

the model of the truck almost looks to new to be a toosie toy, when were tootsie made till? willy

Re: Keep'em coming!

Congrats on the silver! The valve is used to bleed the air out of water fed heat radiators. HH, Mike

Re: Keep'em coming!

Willy...Not sure when or if they have stopped making the Tootsie Toys. This has Tootsie Toy stamped on the underside of the roof. It was tough to see, had to get out my magnifying glass.

Mike, thanks for the info. They probably had radiator heaters back in the day.

HH,
Bunker
