On Saturday morning I was riding my bicycle on a state road and turned off onto a large town side street, I passed a shiny round object and went back to see if it was what I thought... it was... I picked it up and could see it was a JFK Half. When I got home and put on my glasses, I saw the date. 1964, 90% silver. I have been collecting coins on my rides (YES, I DO METAL DETECT TOO) and have picked up hundreds of quarters, dimes, nickles and occasionally jewelry, yes including gold and sterling. But only my third Kennedy and my first silver coin! A little beat up, but I’ll take it! Also found a quarter, nickel and a wrench.

Awesome silver!!!

way to keep your eyes open! nice silver

Got run over a few times but still a great find, grats!

Silver is silver no matter the condition. Good find.

A little road rash won't stand in front of the thrill of finding it on the surface, and the fact that its silver. Good eye.

looks like it was possibly uncirculated before being dropped in the street. Probably some kid swiped it from his Dads collection and then lost it. Either way, that's a great but odd find. After becoming disabled, my Dad used to drive his electric scooter chair within several blocks of his house and found enough coins on the side of the streets that he filled a cool whip container completely full

Well done !
I've dug (24) Kennedy Half's and not one of them is Silver ! :BangHead:
