Keds is a shoe company still in business, you may be able to contact them for exact info and age. It's a cool little badge, is the pin still intact??

Unfortunately the pin is only partially intact. Looks like it rusted off at the first bend

The Melvin Purvis Special Operator badge came out in the mid-30's (in a box of Post Toasties). I'd guess yours is of the same vintage.
