KINDA CRAZY BACK YARD FIND

WE JUST TILLED OUR BACKYARD FOR NEW GRASS AND FOUND THIS FOSSIL. I THOUGHT IT STRANGE SINCE WE LIVE 4-5 MILES FROM THE DELTA. IT WAS DOWN ABOUT 6 INCH DEEP. NO REAL TREASURE BUT STILL A FIND AND I BET ITS OLDER THEN ANY COIN

Very cool……..around my place in upstate NY I find fossils, sea shells included all over……and we are over 2,000'
Geography changes over time with seismic activity

Chances are pretty good that area was part of the ocean millions of years ago

These can be MILLIONS of years old.
I live near Cleveland OH (far from the ocean), but as a kid found many ocean shell fossils.
Wonder what ever happened to all those?
I brought home so many rocks it must have drove my mom nuts.
